Group Therapy in Manhattan

Individual therapy isn’t the only path to change. Group therapy offers something individual sessions can’t: the experience of being understood by people who are genuinely working through similar struggles, and the chance to practice new ways of relating in real time, with real feedback.

Is This You?

If any of the following feel familiar, group therapy may be a good fit alongside or instead of individual work.

  • You feel isolated in your struggles, like no one else could really understand what you’re going through

  • You want to work on relationship patterns — trust, conflict, connection — in a setting where you can practice them directly

  • You’ve made progress in individual therapy and want a space to keep building on it

  • Hearing how others navigate similar challenges sounds more useful to you than talking one-on-one alone

How Group Therapy Works

Groups run as small, closed cohorts of 5-8 members, meeting weekly for 90-minute sessions, facilitated throughout by me. Each group is organized around a shared focus, so the conversation stays relevant and safe rather than generic.

  • Confidential, structured groups organized by focus area — currently including a codependency and family-trauma group

  • A brief screening conversation beforehand to make sure the group is a good fit for you and for the existing members

  • Available in person on the Upper West Side, with telehealth groups for New York State residents

  • Can be combined with individual therapy or stand on its own

If you’re curious whether a group is the right fit, the first step is simply a conversation — not a commitment.
